Terms & Conditions.

These General Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") are established between you ("Customer") and College Storage Group L.L.C. ("CSG," "we," or "us"). This Agreement, including any documents it incorporates by reference, collectively referred to as the "Terms," governs your use of CSG services ("Services"). This includes accessing content, functionality, and services through www.collegestoragegroup.net (the "Website"), whether you are a guest or a registered user. We urge you to carefully read these Terms before registering or purchasing our Services. By using the Website or clicking to accept or agree to these Terms, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by them. Please consider printing a copy for your records. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must refrain from registering on this Website or purchasing our Services. Keep in mind that CSG reserves the right to modify any part of these Terms at our discretion. Your continued use of the Website after the posting of revised Terms signifies your acceptance of the changes. We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed of any modifications, as they are legally binding.

1. Service Description

The Services provided by College Storage Group encompass the delivery of empty boxes and packing materials to the Customer's residence, as well as the collection, shipping, storage, and delivery of the Customer's belongings for a specified duration. College Storage Group facilitates these Services by delivering empty boxes and packing materials, coordinating the pick-up, shipping, storage, and delivery of personal items through selected third-party subcontractors (e.g., moving companies, delivery services, and storage facilities). College Storage Group does not assume physical possession of your personal items at any point.

2. Registration Information

To avail of our Services, you must first register on our Website and pay a deposit fee. Registration is a prerequisite for reserving a service spot. During registration, you are required to provide certain personally identifying information, including your name, address, phone number, email address, and university affiliation. By registering on the Website, you consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy (found below). College Storage Group is not responsible for errors in the information you provide, including additional fees or misdeliveries resulting from such errors.

3. Pricing and Deposits

All pricing and fees for our Services can be found on our current price list, which is available on the College Storage Group website. Pricing is billed monthly and increases based on the duration of item storage. However, College Storage Group charges Customers by entire season (e.g., summer, fall, or winter, each comprising four months), and payment for the entire storage period is due in the first month. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The Customer agrees to pay the total cost of the Services based on the number and type of items tendered to College Storage Group, as well as the prices listed on the College Storage Group website. Pricing may also be subject to a 3% credit card processing fee, depending on the state of the Customer.

Deposit

A $50 deposit is required from the Customer to reserve space for Services. This deposit covers the number of boxes requested during sign-up, as well as pickup and delivery to the same campus on selected days. Additional shipping charges may apply for delivery to a location other than the pickup campus. Deposits are refundable if requested within 72 hours after initial deposit payment. Full deposit refunds are provided if College Storage Group is unable to perform the Services for reasons other than the Customer's willful acts.

Additional Fees

Customers are also responsible for various applicable fees, as specified in this Section, along with any costs related to special service requests. These additional fees compensate College Storage Group for expenses beyond standard procedures. Examples of additional fees include Cancellation ($250), Customer Not Ready for Delivery or Pick Up ($50), Special Delivery Fee ($225), Late payment fee ($1/day after 15 days of pickup), and Unused non-returned College Storage Group box ($10/box). Special drop-off services on unscheduled dates can be arranged for an additional fee of $225, provided the request is made at least 5 days in advance. Changes to special drop-off dates must be communicated to College Storage Group at least 5 days in advance, with potential additional change fees. The special drop-off fee does not apply during complimentary dates. College Storage Group may collaborate with universities and third-party properties, potentially allowing for pickups or deliveries without the Customer's physical presence. Customers can choose to be physically present or request alternative arrangements, which may involve additional charges. In the event of missed special delivery dates, College Storage Group will reschedule the delivery, and the Customer will incur another special drop-off fee. The special delivery fee of $225 does not apply during complimentary dates. When College Storage Group collaborateswith universities or third-party properties, College Storage Group may pick up or deliver items without the Customer's physical presence. If the Customer does not want this, they must notify College Storage Group in writing, which may result in additional charges.

Credit Card Payment and Failure to Pay

All charges for Services are due immediately after the pickup of the Customer's possessions. The Customer authorizes College Storage Group to charge the provided credit card for all Service charges and additional fees after pickup. Checks or cash are not accepted. If the Customer's account remains unpaid due to invalid credit card information or other reasons preventing payment, College Storage Group may withhold the Customer's possessions until full payment is received. Failure to pay in full before the delivery date may result in rescheduling and additional fees.

4. Auto-Charge Authorization

By accepting these Terms and using College Storage Group Services, the Customer grants College Storage Group DMV L.L.C. the authority to automatically charge the provided credit card for all Service-related charges, including storage fees, shipping fees, additional fees, and other applicable charges. This auto-charge authorization remains in effect during the Customer's use of College Storage Group Services. The Customer acknowledges that their credit card will be automatically charged on the due date for outstanding amounts owed to College Storage Group. In case of failed auto-charge attempts, the Customer agrees to update their payment information promptly to facilitate payment. Failure to do so may result in delayed delivery and additional fees. The Customer is responsible for any charges incurred due to the auto-charge authorization and will not hold College Storage Group accountable for overdraft fees or other charges imposed by their credit card issuer or bank. Revoking the auto-charge authorization requires a written notice to College Storage Group at least 30 days before the next billing date.

Material Delivery

Upon registering and reserving our Services, the Customer's material delivery day is scheduled. Customers are expected to be present between 10 AM-6 PM to receive the delivery or arrange for someone from the College Storage Group team to pick up their materials. College Storage Group may contact the Customer via phone, email, or text to establish a specific delivery time slot. If College Storage Group sets a specific delivery time slot, the Customer must be present during that slot. If the Customer chooses not to be present during delivery, they must notify College Storage Group via email at least 24 hours before delivery. In such cases, College Storage Group will leave materials outside the Customer's residence entrance, and College Storage Group will not be held liable for any damage or theft.

6. Packing

Customers are solely responsible for packing any boxes. Parcels must be packed securely to prevent breakage of content. College Storage Group will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by improper packaging. College Storage Group reserves the right to reject any item submitted for storage if it is considered unacceptable in terms of packing or for any other reason. Each box and each item that does not fit in a box is considered a separate "Item" for the purposes of pricing College Storage Group services, as that term is used above. Customers must ensure that a College Storage Group packing label, provided to the Customer upon material delivery, is clearly visible on and securely attached to each item stored with College Storage Group.

7. Restricted Items

College Storage Group discourages the storage of cash, furs, and jewelry and is not liable for their loss or damage (see Section 10: Lost or Damaged Items). Hazardous materials and contraband are strictly prohibited, and College Storage Group may inspect and remove such items.

8. Storage Services

A. Scheduled Pickups and Deliveries: Customers should schedule their preferred pickup and delivery times when ordering storage services. Items must be pre-packed and presented to College Storage Group at the pickup time. Failure to be present at the scheduled pickup time may result in rescheduling or a cancellation fee of up to $100. Leaving boxes unattended for pickup releases College Storage Group from liability for damage or theft.

B. Storage: Items will be stored at a third-party climate-controlled facility chosen at College Storage Group's discretion. A "climate-controlled facility" refers to a storage facility with ventilation that maintains a reasonable temperature for storage.

C. Abandonment: Failure to be present on the scheduled delivery day, without communicating alternate arrangements, constitutes abandonment of stored possessions. This leads to charges and fees related to the failed delivery. College Storage Group may assume ownership of abandoned property after 30 days, which may be auctioned or sold. Abandoned items will be properly stored during this 30-day period.

9. Access to Residence Halls

College Storage Group complies with university housing policies and will be present within residence halls during pickup and drop-off. If access is limited by university policy, it is the Customer's responsibility to facilitate an accessible pickup and delivery location. All fees and terms outlined in this Agreement still apply.

10. Shipping

In addition to storage services, College Storage Group coordinates shipping services, partnering with FedEx for efficient and cost-effective shipping. Shipping rates are based on size, weight, and destination, with the cost typically ranging from $40 to $85 per College Storage Group box (24”x18”x18”) for different distance ranges. College Storage Group is not liable for errors or omissions by shipping carriers or movers.

Lost or Damaged Items

College Storage Group's liability for boxed Items is limited to $100 per item or $100 for unboxed Items. College Storage Group is not liable for Items without clear indications of physical damage to the exterior. Internal damage concealed within outer packaging is also not covered. Lost or damaged items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Claims should be filed via email at claims@csgdmv.com. Claims for lost packages must be reported during delivery, with the missing items being communicated to movers.  After reporting, a full claim must be filed with College Storage Group within three days of delivery. Claims not filed within this time frame will be considered waived. All completed claims will be processed by CSG and a response issued within (30) days of receipt of the claim form. Upon claim approval, College Storage Group will disburse the lesser of the following amounts or the amount partially paid by the shipping carrier or mover.
