  • After I make a reservation, what happens?
    ●After making a reservation, each customer will receive a confirmation email ensuring your refundable deposit has been received and will go towards their final balance.

    ● Next, hold tight until our movers show up at your campus with your complimentary boxes and packing materials. To ensure that you are ready to meet the movers on your campus during one of our Supply Distribution Days, please go to the Important Campus Dates page.

    When and how do I obtain my packaging materials?
    ● We have designated dates specific to each university where our team members will be set up at a specific place on campus to provide boxes, tape, labels, and bubble wrap.

    What happens if I don't have enough labels for my box & additional items?
    ● Do not be alarmed! Each CSG mover comes equipped with a personal mover kit containing additional labels and tape.

    How many boxes does it usually take to pack up my room?
    ● Students typically use four to five boxes, which are all provided complimentary after your deposit is paid. On Supply Distribution Days, we encourage all students to take as many boxes as they think they may need.

    ● If you leave unused boxes and supplies for our movers to pick up, you will not be charged. Any unused boxes that are not left for our movers to pick up will be charged $10 per box.

    What is the maximum weight per box?
    ● All of our boxes have a weight limit of less than 65 pounds. If your box exceeds the weight limit per box, a $25 overweight fee may be applied to your account.

    ● We provide complimentary boxes for the safety of students and movers, so we recommend grabbing an extra box to avoid overweight fees.

  • How do I know my pick-up date?
    ● Prior to paying your deposit, you will be able to select your date directly on our website through the Deposit form.

    What if I want a pick-up date outside of the days that you offer?
    ● Customers who want pickups on days other than those we offer can arrange a Special Pick-Up for $75, which will be added to their final bill.

    What if I don't know the exact date I'll be returning?
    Don’t worry! Our team will send an email to every customer in July allowing customers to provide a date of return to campus in August.


    What if I don't make my pickup time?

    ● If you miss your pick-up, just give us a call. Our CSG representative will contact the nearest driver to reschedule your delivery. A missed pickup fee may be accumulated.

    Is there a fee if I miss my original pickup time?

    ● For our movers to return later in the day, there is a $50 rescheduling fee. Any pick-up fees incurred as a result of the missed move are non-refundable. Pick-ups on dates other than your originally scheduled day and time are also subject to additional fees.

  • What are the services offered by College Storage Group?
    ● We specialize in meeting the needs of students. We provide a wide range of services, including but not limited to summer storage, pick-up and drop-off, shipping, and moving.

    How much coverage is included in my insurance?
    ● Our standard insurance covers up to $100 per item. If you have a higher-value box or item, additional insurance can be provided upon request. Additional insurance can be purchased for a rate of:

    $2/mo(+$100)

    $3/mo(+$250)

    $5/mo(+$500)

    Will I be able to access the storage during the summer?
    ● Please give us at least two weeks' notice if you require access to any of your items. Please note that access to your items during the summer will incur a $225 Mid-Summer Drop-off fee. We do not provide partial delivery of items, all items must be dropped off at the time of delivery.

    ● Any pick-up or delivery outside of your school's complimentary dates will incur an additional fee, and your 4-month storage term cannot be prorated. (To deliver your items on a specific date, we will need to hire a team of movers and rent a truck specifically for your move.)

    Where do you store my items?
    ● All of our private facilities are indoor climate-controlled warehouses located within a 15-mile radius of campus.

    What can I store?
    ● Our movers are trained on the pickup of practically anything you can stick a label on! You can store any of your belongings excluding alcohol, drugs, and weapons & hazardous materials.

    What if my school is not on the list?
    ● We will be happy to service your needs, simply call us and if we can make arrangements to have movers available in your area we will gladly assist you!

  • Do you provide shipping?
    ● Yes, we provide nationwide & international shipping. Please give one of our CSG representatives a call and we will be happy to assist you.

    I'm changing schools, and my belongings are currently in storage with you. Can you ship my items to me?

    ● We offer the option of having your items shipped after all Summer Storage orders on your campus have been dropped off. If you choose to have your items shipped by us after your storage term has expired, you will be charged both storage fees (4-month minimum) and shipping fees.

  • The minimum storage term is four months, but I only need 3.5 months. Can I get a deal?
    ● On all of our campuses, the minimum storage term is four months. All items will be charged for a minimum of four months. We are unable to offer discounts or promotions for terms of less than four months.

    What is the cost of your service?

    ● Based on the number of items you wish to store with us, we offer transparent and flexible pricing. A box, bin, suitcase, or even a bike could be considered an item. Our pricing is detailed on our website's Pricing page.

    How will I be charged?

    ● We will generate a detailed invoice after your items are picked up, letting you know exactly what you are being charged based on the item(s) we picked up. Within 3 days after pick-up, your invoice will be sent via email. If you have any questions regarding your invoice please give us a call at 1(866)MOVE-421.

    I no longer need your service. Can I get my deposit back?
    ● Deposits are fully refundable up until 72 hours after Deposit has been paid. Please note that all boxes & packing supplies must be returned prior to refund being issued. Consequently, if boxes and packing supplies are not returned, then refund will not be issued.

    Can I change my payment method?

    ● Of course, you can! Just simply give us a call and we will update your payment method with your preferred method of payment.

    Can I place an order over the phone?

    ● Yes! We would be glad to assist you over the phone. Give one of our trained experts a call.

    Are your prices advertised for the whole summer?

    ● Yes! Unlike most of our competitors, we offer the lowest price in our industry and can guarantee that the service & customer experience can’t be matched elsewhere.

    Are there any late fees for missed invoice payments?

    A $25/month late fee will be attached to the subscription if the invoice has not been paid at least 15 days after the invoice was originally sent.

  • I’ve paid my deposit and no longer need your services, how do I receive a refund?

    ● We’re sorry to see you go! But no worries, just give one of our trained experts a call and we’ll issue the refund back to your original payment method. Please allow 3-5 business days for refunds to process back into your account. Contact us at 1(866)MOVE-421.

    How long after paying my deposit am I eligible to receive a refund?
